NGC 6753 in Pavo


Located 150 million light years away, NGC 6753 is a large unbarred spiral galaxy in Pavo. In our field of view the galaxy is small with an apparent size of just over 2×2’. The galaxy has a number of active star forming regions as well as clusters of older red stars. It has rarely been imaged in astrophotography.
